My name is William Park. I live in Upper State, New York in a town called Dryden. I am founder and chairman of William's World War 2 Airfield Inc. My non-profit incorporation will help honor WWII Veterans who, as you know, are passing away very quickly. I not want to honor them only, but all Veterans who have served and are serving in our Armed Forces today. I have a web site on Facebook that you can visit. Also, I have the Consent of the Department of Education, Certificate of Incorporation, and am recognized as 501c3 Status by the IRS. I am an Air Force Veteran. I am a WWII buff and I love the airplanes from that era. This is why I am building a replica of a WWII airfield.

The mission of this incorporation is to help keep the memory of World War 2 veterans and the sacrifices that they made to preserve our freedom alive. Also to teach new generations, as well as old generations of what our soldiers endured during the war. FOXNews.com has an article about the rate of dying WWII veterans. They are dying at a rate of over a 1000 per day and the numbers are dwindling. The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that there are 2.5 million WWII veterans left alive. In ten years, that number will dramatically drop. Laura Wilcox of The Herald-Dispatch wrote an article on May 24, 2008 displaying the World War 2 veteran’s concern for the lack of recognition and understanding of the war that they fought and sacrificed there lives to win and to end. We have not won a war, let alone ended one since then. Not only the memory of these we want to keep alive but all Veterans who have and are serving in our armed forces to day.

This is the description of the airfield

The corporation will resemble a World War 2 Airfield with pilots’ tents, airplanes, a runway, mechanics’ shed, fuel dump, ammunition dump, willies jeeps, a meat wagon (ambulance), aid station, fox holes, and slit trenches, anti-aircraft nests, hangers, movie set to watch 40’s movies, cooking area, and latrine area. Employees will be round about in authentic uniforms and playing their parts as World War 2 Airfield personnel. The Airfield will be opened from 9AM to 9PM on Monday through Saturday from May 1st to October 31st.

The service we provide will be for the public to enjoy learning what those boys and girls went through to help win and end WWII. It also will give insight of what our men and women are going through today in the fight against terrorism. We ill build an obstacle course and have races to see who can get though it first. We'll also have paint battles to defend the airfield from the enemy. There will be places where people can eat and places where they can use restrooms.

Right now, no one can book an appointment until we can get this place built and up and running. We need your help to do that. To clear the air on those who may think this is some sort of scam, be assured that it is not. I can show you what I need to get my project up and running. It'll up to you to decide whether or not that this will be a good investment. I can't ask you for anymore than that and I don't expect to that all the funds come from one person or one place at any given time. Thank you.

This is what I need to get started. Please, do not be afraid of the numbers. This is a big project and I do not expect it do be done all at once. This is something that will take time and effort to build. Once it's built, then that's when the rewards start coming of the public appreciating our Veterans more.

To start off with, we need to shoot for our goal of $40,000.00  to cover the expense of the right paraphernalia for fund raising around our area.    We need a  Jeep Wrangler due to its similarity to the Willies Jeep, a mannequin to sport a female uniform, four uniforms - two male and two female, and expenses for advertising on radio, television, and papers, and, of course land to start building the airfield on.   Please, help us get the starting funds we need to reach our goal.

I know peoples hearts when they visit the airshows. They long to climb into the cockpits of these old Warbirds and pretend to be the famous pilots that flew them or just be themselves traveling back in time to when these old Warbirds flew in the great wars. 
My Corsair will provide the experience in the public’s hearts by allowing them to climb into it cockpit. Even though, they will not be able to fly it, they will at least have the experience and joy of sitting in its cockpit. This is what your donation will accomplish.
